๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ Ghana ยท Now accepting fellows

Everything Included in Your Membership.

Your monthly fellowship includes a dedicated clinical team, weekly workshops, proactive nurse follow-up, community support, emergency coordination, member discounts, and access to the Health Bootcamp. GHS 350/month for Founding Fellows.

What your membership includes

Everything Your GHS 350 Monthly Membership Gives You.

Less than GHS 12 a day. Less than the cost of most clinic consultations in Greater Accra. Here is what that investment unlocks โ€” in full.

Your Clinical Team

Your Dedicated Physician Assistant

A clinically trained Physician Assistant is assigned to you from the moment your membership begins. They know your health history, your baseline readings, your conditions, and your care plan. They are not shared across hundreds of patients. They are yours โ€” and they are accountable for your progress.

Your Dedicated Nurse

Your nurse is your most consistent human touchpoint inside the fellowship. They do not wait for you to reach out. They reach out to you โ€” proactively, regularly โ€” to check your vitals, review your logs, and flag anything that deserves attention before it becomes a problem. When you book a one-on-one specialist consultation, your nurse participates in that care and receives a share of the consultation fee.

Full Clinical Team Oversight

Behind your PA and nurse is a complete clinical governance structure. Every recommendation that reaches you has been reviewed and sanctioned by a licensed physician. Your care is supervised. Your progress is watched.

Your Weekly Education

Live Weekly Group Workshops

Every week, Freedom Protocol Fellows across the country attend a live online group workshop โ€” facilitated by a rotating schedule of health professionals including doctors, nurses, registered dietitians, physiotherapists, psychologists, and sleep specialists. These are live, facilitated, and responsive. Attendance is tracked. If you miss a session, a recording is available within 24 hours.

Your Community

Your Local Fellowship Group

Every Fellow is connected to other members in their city or locality through the platform. Your local group can organise in-person peer support meetups, accountability sessions, and shared experiences.

Your National Digital Community

Beyond your local group, you are part of a national digital fellowship โ€” accessible from your phone, whenever you need it.

Your Safety Net

The Emergency Hotline

The emergency hotline is staffed from our country office and is available to all active members at all times. One call connects you to a clinical coordinator who manages your emergency from first contact to handover โ€” coordinating with our registered partner hospitals and ambulance services.

Response Time Commitments

Emergency hotline: answered within 5 minutes, around the clock. Nurse message response: within 4 hours during business hours (8amโ€“8pm). PA query response: within 8 hours. Consultation booking confirmation: within 24 hours.

Your Discounts

Laboratory Tests

Negotiated discounted rates at partner laboratories across Ghana. Your care coordinator provides the discount referral for any lab work your PA or nurse recommends.

Medication

Prescription and supportive medications available through our partner pharmacy network at reduced member rates.

Medical Equipment

Glucose monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and other metabolic health monitoring equipment available to Fellows at discounted rates through our partner suppliers.

Specialist One-on-One Consultations

Access to cardiologists, endocrinologists, dietitians, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other specialists at a discounted member consultation rate. The fee is split: 70% to your specialist, 10% to your nurse, 20% to the platform.

Your Priority Access

New Clinical Discoveries

Priority access to new protocols, clinical findings, and treatment approaches relevant to your condition โ€” before they are published to the general public.

New Fellowship Programmes

As Freedom Protocol grows โ€” new workshops, new specialist partnerships, new tools โ€” Fellows are first in line.

Weekly workshop curriculum

Topics rotate across a defined curriculum covering:

Nutrition and meal planning for metabolic health

Physical movement and physiotherapy adapted to your condition

Psychology of chronic illness โ€” the emotional and mental dimensions of your health

Sleep science and its direct impact on blood sugar and blood pressure

Cooking โ€” practical sessions using ingredients available to you in Ghana

Medication management and understanding your prescriptions

Stress physiology and practical stress reduction

Compulsory for every Fellow

The Health Bootcamp. Two Days. In Person. Every Six Months.

Provisional Fellows attend at the next bootcamp cycle. Full membership begins after the bootcamp.

Day One โ€” Foundations

Morning

Understanding Your Body

A clinical session led by a physician that takes you through exactly what is happening inside your body โ€” in plain language, not medical jargon. What your blood sugar readings actually mean. What happens to your blood vessels when hypertension goes unmanaged.

Late Morning

Cooking for Your Life

A hands-on cooking session using ingredients available in Ghanaian markets โ€” the foods you already know, prepared in ways that work for your metabolic health. You cook. You taste. You take the recipes home.

Afternoon

Sleep Science

A dedicated session on sleep โ€” the most underestimated pillar of metabolic health. Practical strategies that work in a Ghanaian household, with Ghanaian noise, Ghanaian heat, and Ghanaian family life.

Evening

Community Building

Dinner together. Structured conversation facilitated by a psychologist. You meet your fellow members face to face. You hear their stories. You tell yours.

Day Two โ€” Protocol and Commitment

Morning

Movement for Your Body

A physiotherapy-led movement session adapted to your current fitness level and your specific condition. A clinical approach to physical activity that your PA will incorporate into your personalised care plan.

Late Morning

The Psychology of Living With a Chronic Condition

A dedicated session on the emotional and mental dimensions of metabolic health โ€” the fear, the frustration, the grief, the isolation. Led by a psychologist.

Afternoon

Your Personal Protocol

With your PA and nurse present, you build your personal 90-day protocol โ€” written, specific to your readings, your life, your history. Your plan. The document you leave with and return to every day.

Closing

The Fellowship Commitment

Every Fellow in the room acknowledges what they are committing to โ€” to their protocol, to their community, and to themselves. It is the moment that makes the following 180 days feel different from every previous attempt.

When it happens

Every six months, per country. Your bootcamp date is confirmed at enrollment.

If you join mid-cycle

Full provisional membership benefits are active from day one โ€” PA and nurse assigned, discounts live, hotline available. You attend the next bootcamp when it runs.

What you leave with

Your personal 90-day protocol โ€” written, specific to your readings, your life, and your history.

Your care pathway

Three Paths. One Goal.

When you join the Fellowship, your care team assigns you to a care track that matches your health philosophy and preferences. Your path shapes how your care is delivered.

โš•

Clinical Medicine

The Straight Path

Your care follows evidence-based clinical medicine exclusively. Your PA and doctor guide your protocol using pharmaceutical, dietary, and lifestyle interventions rooted in modern medical science.

Best for

Members who prefer conventional medicine and evidence-based clinical protocols.

๐ŸŒฟ

Traditional Herbal Medicine

The Root Path

Your care draws from Ghana's traditional herbal medicine heritage, guided by practitioners registered with the Traditional Medicine Practice Council. Plant-based and rooted in ancestral wisdom.

Best for

Members who prefer traditional and herbal approaches to metabolic health management.

โ—ˆ

Integrated Both Systems

The Convergence Path

Your care integrates both clinical medicine and traditional herbal practice into a single cohesive protocol. The best of both systems, working together under clinical governance.

Best for

Members who want the benefits of both modern and traditional medicine working in harmony.

Your care track is assigned by your clinical team at enrollment. You can request a change at any time through your PA.

Who is assigned to you

Your Fellowship Team.

From day one, specific people are assigned to your care โ€” not a system, not a queue.

Your team

Your Physician Assistant

Clinically trained and responsible for your care pathway from day one. Reviews your full health history at enrollment, oversees your care plan, coordinates specialist referrals, and escalates to licensed physician review at every significant clinical decision.

Your team

Your Nurse

The person you will hear from most. Proactively contacts you to check your vitals, review your logs, and flag anything that needs attention. When your readings trend in the wrong direction, your nurse notices before you have to call anyone.

Your team

Your Care Coordinator

Manages the logistical layer of your fellowship โ€” your bootcamp date, workshop schedule, local community connections, and discount referrals for labs and medication.

Your team

Your Specialist Network

When your care requires a cardiologist, endocrinologist, dietitian, physiotherapist, psychologist, or other specialist โ€” the fellowship connects you at your discounted member rate. Your PA coordinates. Your care coordinator books. You show up.

We come to you first

Your Nurse Reaches Out. You Do Not Have to Call First.

Your assigned nurse monitors your vitals logs, tracks your workshop attendance, and watches your engagement with your care plan. When something looks wrong โ€” a glucose reading trending upward, a blood pressure log that has not been updated, three missed workshops in a row โ€” your nurse reaches out. Not to reprimand. To support.

If your readings are moving in a concerning direction, your nurse flags it to your PA before you have had to feel the consequences. If you have gone quiet on the platform, someone checks in.

Pause

Membership pauses of up to 90 days are available at our discretion for members who have been active for at least three months and face a genuine hardship circumstance โ€” a job loss, a family emergency, a medical event.

Questions we get asked

Membership FAQ.

Can I keep seeing my current doctor?+

Yes โ€” and we encourage it. Freedom Protocol is designed to work alongside your existing healthcare relationships, not replace them. Your PA will coordinate with your current physician when relevant.

What if I miss a weekly workshop?+

A recording is available within 24 hours of every live session. Consistent absence will be noticed by your nurse, who will reach out to understand what is happening and how to support you back into the programme.

What happens if I cannot attend the next bootcamp?+

You remain on provisional membership and attend the following bootcamp cycle. Provisional membership includes every fellowship benefit โ€” nothing is withheld.

Can a family member join?+

Yes. They apply separately, go through their own nurse screening call, and are enrolled as their own Fellow with their own assigned PA and nurse.

What conditions does the fellowship serve?+

Freedom Protocol is built primarily around metabolic conditions โ€” type 2 diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. Your PA and nurse can also provide guidance on general health concerns including acute illness such as malaria.

What if I travel outside Ghana?+

Your digital fellowship benefits โ€” weekly workshops, PA and nurse access, digital community, and emergency hotline โ€” remain active wherever you are.

Is my health data safe?+

Freedom Protocol applies strong data protection standards across all data infrastructure. For Ghana, this includes the Ghana Data Protection Act (Act 843). Your health data is encrypted, stored securely, and never shared with third parties without your explicit consent.

How do I access my lab or medication discount?+

Your care coordinator provides a discount referral letter or code for partner laboratories, pharmacies, and equipment suppliers when your PA or nurse recommends a test or medication.

What happens if I want to cancel?+

You may cancel with 30 days written notice to your care coordinator. No cancellation fees. No lock-in. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period.

I have more questions. Who do I speak to?+

Reach your care coordinator at pdasoberi@freedomprotocol.health or through the fellowship hotline once you are enrolled.
